Scanner, alerts and trading journal in one tool

Most day traders run a scanner in one tab, a journal in another and position sizing in a spreadsheet. DayTradingSoftware keeps the whole session in one place. Every trade you log already knows what the scan looked like when you took it.

How day trading software fits your session

Four steps, every trading day. The full routine with times in ET is on how day trading software works.

  1. 04:00 ET 01

    Scan

Filter the market by price, gap %, relative volume, float and change in the last 1 or 5 minutes. Use the premarket gappers scan from 4:00 ET or the momentum scanner after the open.

  2. 09:34 ET
Trader standing by a kitchen window at 9:34 in the morning holding a smartphone with a lit lock screen notification, a cup of coffee on the sill, the trading room door open behind
    02

    Alert

Put the names that fit your plan on a day trading watchlist. Set trading alerts on a level, a VWAP cross or a new scan match and stop staring at six screens.

  3. 16:05 ET 03

    Journal

Import your broker's execution CSV after the close or log a trade by hand. Each entry stores gap, RVOL, float and time at entry, plus R-multiple and net P&L after commissions.

  4. 16:30 ET 04

    Review

See which setups and hours pay for you, backtest the rule and read the AI day trading software review of your own day. It describes your trades. It never predicts the market.

Try a trading journal entry

Type a trade the way you would log it. The card sizes the position against your risk and flags rule breaks. Fixed rules, no guessing.

The math is the same as in the position size calculator. The tags feed the setup reports in the day trading journal.

Prop trading desk software for your whole team

Desk gives a prop firm or trading desk one account for up to 10 traders, with extra seats added in the dashboard.

  • Roles for owner, risk manager and trader.
  • SSO sign-in and an audit log of changes to limits, roles and shared lists.
  • Daily loss limits per trader, visible to the risk manager during the session.
  • Shared watchlists and shared scans for the whole desk.
  • Team view of journals and an export for your risk review.
  • Billing by invoice, one bill instead of a scanner and a journal per seat.

For a desk lead the return is easy to see. Fewer breaches of the daily loss limit. A shorter end of day review, because every trader's journal sits in one view. One line on the bill instead of two tools per seat. At 10 seats on yearly billing, Desk works out to $24.90 per trader per month.

FAQ

  1. Is this investment advice?

No. DayTradingSoftware is a tool. The scanner shows which stocks match the filters you set. Nothing on the site or in the app tells you to buy or sell anything.

  2. Is the market data real time?

Paid plans use licensed real-time US market data. The scan on this page runs on a sample session that is delayed and is not live market data.

  3. Do you need my broker password?

No. You import the execution CSV your broker lets you download. The journal only reads files you upload, and your broker login stays with you.

  4. Which brokers can I import from?

The importer reads the execution export format of popular US brokers. If your broker is not on the list, you can log trades by hand in the entry card.

  5. Is there a way to try it before I pay?

There is no free plan. You can run one sample scan with three visible rows and one journal entry without an account. Plans start at $49 per month, or $24 per month billed yearly.

  6. Does the backtest predict profits?

No. A backtest shows how a rule behaved on historical intraday data. Past performance and backtests do not guarantee future results.

  7. What does the AI day review do?

After the session it reads your own journal and summarizes the day and repeating mistakes, for example a note that most of your losses came after moving the stop. It does not forecast prices.

  8. Does it help with the pattern day trader rule?

Your broker applies the rule, not the software. Under the FINRA rule, a margin account with four or more day trades in five business days needs at least $25,000 in equity. DayTradingSoftware does not place trades. Every trade you journal shows up by date, so you can see your own pace. More in the day trading software FAQ.

  9. Can a prop firm use it for funded traders?

Yes. The Desk plan adds roles, daily loss limits per trader, a team view of journals and invoice billing. Funded traders on their own can use Starter or Pro.

  10. Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Cancel in the dashboard and your plan stays active to the end of the paid period. Payments are final under our refund policy.
